It's Time for a Mezuzah and Tefillin Check-up

It's important to regularly check your Tefillin and Mezuzahs to ensure they remain kosher and effective in their spiritual purpose. Tefillin and Mezuzahs are fundamental mitzvot in Judaism, and serves as a protection for us Jews and Israel as a whole.

Over time, the parchments inside Tefillin and Mezuzahs can become damaged or worn, potentially invalidating them. Environmental factors like humidity, heat, and even the oils from our skin can affect the ink and parchment. Regular checks by a certified scribe (sofer) help ensure that they remain in good condition and kosher.

We are pleased to announce that a scribe will be visiting the Burg to provide this essential service. This is a wonderful opportunity to have your Tefillin and Mezuzahs examined and, if necessary, repaired or replaced. Keeping these items in good condition helps maintain their spiritual efficacy and honors our commitment to observing these important mitzvot.
