Yom Kippur Services Secured at Mahaffey Theater- Power out at the Museum of Fine Arts.

While we’re actively working to provide relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, we’re now just a little over 24 hours away from Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year. 

We are pleased to announce that we have secured the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg for our Yom Kippur services. There, we will have power and space to properly observe this special day.

Milton Has Passed - 400,000 Without Power & Citywide Water Disruption

Good morning, everyone. As of 8 AM, Hurricane Milton has passed, significantly impacting St. Pete. Over 400,000 residents are without power, and there is major wind damage across the area. Thankfully, there was no storm surge, but the city’s water supply has been disrupted due to damage to the main pipeline.

The Chabad Center is currently without power, but we are actively coordinating relief efforts. Search and rescue teams are on standby to assist those who are still unaccounted for or have not yet been contacted.

Telehealth Available: A pediatric doctor is offering Telehealth appointments if needed and can call in prescriptions to be filled. To get connected, please call Chaya at 727-366-3630.

Yom Kippur Services: We are coordinating with Chabad centers in Florida and Georgia for those who have evacuated and won’t be back in time for Yom Kippur. They’re happy to welcome you for services. If you’d like help connecting with a Local Chabad, please call us at 727-344-4900.

Hurricane Helen Relief Efforts:

Tampa Bay has never seen anything like this in recorded history. With over 6 feet of storm surge, homes are underwater, cars are ruined, and the damage is devastating.

Many people are in need of help, and it will take time for some roads to become passable.
